In 1995, a life-changing moment occurred that would ultimately shape the future of his practice. Dr. Wang, an optometrist in Burnaby, had a patient whose life had been profoundly impacted by a serious car accident that left her with significant vision loss. Her six-year-old son accompanied her to every appointment, watching intently as Dr. Wang diligently worked to restore his mother’s sight.
Over the years and through numerous follow-ups, her vision was fully regained. But during this process, something remarkable was happening. The young boy, captivated by the intricacies of optometry and the precision required, developed a deep fascination with the field.

In 2016, during an optometry conference in Vancouver, Dr. Pati unexpectedly crossed paths with Dr. Wang. They quickly reconnected, reflecting on the remarkable journey that had brought them together once again.
By 2017, Real Eyes Optometry was established, symbolizing the passing of the torch from Dr. Wang to Dr. Pati. Grounded in the same values that first ignited Dr. Pati’s passion as a child, the clinic became a cornerstone for personalized and compassionate eye care in the Metrotown community.
