A complete assessment of your eye health

A complete eye examination assesses the following:

    • Refractive Conditions (such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia)

    • Ocular motility (tracking skills)

    • Focusing Ability

    • Binocularity (eye coordination)

    • Eye health conditions (such as age-related macular
      degeneration, glaucoma and cataracts)

General health conditions such as diabetes, cholesterol and high blood pressure can also be detected through an internal examination of your eyes via dilation. Dilation is when an Optometrist puts a special drop into your eyes that dilates your pupil. This enables the doctor to look inside your eyes, at the tissue called the retina.

We recommend a comprehensive eye exam every 1 to 2 years.
